Duac gel is used for the topical treatment of mild to moderate acne vulgaris, particularly for inflammatory lesions.Dose
APPLY ONCE Daily in the evening, to the entire affected area 
Suitability criteria
Mild to moderate acne vulgaris
Active Ingredient
Clyndamycin 1%
30 mg (3 % w/w) or 50mg (5% w/w) anhydrous benzoyl peroxide as hydrous benzoyl peroxide
Drug Warning
Contact with the mouth, eyes, lips, other mucous membranes or areas of irritated or broken skin should be avoided. Application to sensitive areas of skin should be made with caution. In case of accidental contact, rinse well with water
If a patient has sunburn, this should be resolved before using the gel.
The product may bleach hair or coloured fabrics. Avoid contact with hair, fabrics, furniture or carpeting
Warnings and Contraindications
Do not use in the case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or to any of the additional ingredients.
Common Side Effects
If severe local irritancy (e.g. severe erythema, severe dryness and itching, severe stinging/burning) occurs, Duac Once Daily 10 mg/g + 30 mg/g Gel should be discontinued
The most common side effects are slight changes to the skin, including itching, dryness, erythema, burning sensation and peeling.
