Take one tablet orally as soon as possible, and no later than 5 days (120 hours) after unprotected sex/contraceptive failure. The sooner you take it, the more effective this treatment will be.
You can take the tablet at any time during your cycle and at an time in the day before, during or after a meal.
If you use other regular hormonal contraceptives, like pills or patches, they may be less temporarily less effective by this product. if you currently take regular hormonal contraception, you should continue to use it as usual after taking this, but you should use condoms each time you have intercourse until your next period.
Do not take ellaOne with another emergency contraceptive containing levonorgestrel. It can make this medicine less effective if taken together.
After taking ellaOne, it is normal for your period to be a few days late.
However, if it is more than 7 days late, if you experience abdominal pain, if the period is unusually light or heavy, if you have nausea/vomiting, or breast tenderness - you may be pregnant., and should take a pregnancy test right away.
