Hydrocortisone is a steroid ointment. The active ingredient belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids. It is used to reduce inflammation in a variety of skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis caused by irritants or allergic reactions and insect bite reactions.Active Ingredient

Eczema
Dermatitis (patches of red, scaly, itchy skin)
Psoriasis (areas of raised, red, sometimes itchy, patches of skin, covered with silvery scales, without any blistering or tenderness)
Allergic Rashes
Itchy Skin
Skin Inflammation
Skin Irritation
Dry Skin
Drug Warning
Do not use this on the face, near eyes or broken skin.
Dose
Wash your hands thoroughly before use, and apply the ointment to the affected area once or twice a day for 7 days.
Massage the ointment gently into the skin, to encourage absorption into the skin.
Once applied, do not cover with a plaster or dressing.
