Kliofem is a continuous combined Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) which is used on a daily basis. Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is a treatment used in women, to relieve menopause-related symptoms. It works by replacing the decreased levels of hormones which occurs as you approach menopause. Kliofem is a combined continuous sequential HRT product - this means that the oestrogen is dosed continuously, with the progestogen being added for a proportion of each 28-day cycle, in a sequential manner. It is used in postmenopausal women with at least 1 year since their last natural period. The progestagen in Kliofem can also protect you from the risk of excessive thickening of the womb lining, and endometrial cancer when taking an oestrogen.Active Ingredient

You should also talk to your doctor before attempting to stop Kliofem.
You should contact a doctor if you experience unusual bleeding when on this product You should go for regular breast screening and smear tests.
You should also check your breasts regularly and see your doctor if you notice changes such as dimpling of the skin, nipple changes or you can see or feel any lumps.
There is an increased risk of risk of developing blood clots with HRT tablets. You should stop taking Kliofem and see a doctor if you notice signs of a blood clot.

One tablet should be taken every day, at around the same time every day. They should be taken without interruption, with no breaks between packs.
ensure to take it within the next 12 hours. If it has already been more than 12 hours, start as normal by the next day.
it may increase the risk of there being breakthrough bleeding and spotting. Do not attempt to take a double dose.
Warnings and ContraindicationsDo not take Kliofem if any of the following applies to you:
If you have, have had breast cancer or cancer of the uterus or other oestrogen-sensitive cancers.
If you have unexplained vaginal bleeding.
If you have excessive thickening of the uterus lining that is untreated.
If you have or have ever had a blood clot in a vein.
If you have a blood clotting disorder.
If you have had angina, heart attack, or stroke.
If you have or have ever had a liver disease and your liver function tests have not returned to normal.
If you have porphyria.
Common Side Effects
Vaginal bleeding, vaginal inflammation, fungal vaginal infection.
Breast tenderness or pain.
Headache
Nausea
Weight gain, water retention
Depression, mood changes
Abdominal pain, swelling or discomfort
Leg cramps
Back pain
Uterine fibroid aggravation, occurrence or recurrence
Swollen arms and legs
