Losec is a proton pump inhibitor, reducing the amount of acid in the stomach. It can be used for gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD) symptoms, including heartburn and acid reflux, long-term management and prevention of relapse in reflux oesophagitis. This medication can also be used for the prevention of gastroduodenal ulcers caused by a group of painkillers called 'non-selective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs' (NSAIDs)Active Ingredient

One tablet per day, with your main meal
Warnings and Contraindications
Do not use in the case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or to any of the additional ingredients.
Treatment with proton pump inhibitors may lead to slightly increased risk of gastrointestinal infections
Proton pump inhibitors, especially if used in high doses and over long durations (>1 year), may increase the risk of fractures, predominantly in the elderly or in presence of other recognised risk factors

Disodium phosphate dihydrate, hydroxypropylcellulose, hypromellose, lactose anhydrous,
magnesium stearate, mannitol, methacrylic acid – ethyl acrylate copolymer (1:1) dispersion 30 per cent, cellulose microcrystalline, macrogol (polyethylene glycol 400), sodium laurilsulfate, iron oxide E172, titanium dioxide E171, gelatine,
printing ink (containing shellac, ammonia, potassium hydroxide and black iron oxide E172), silica colloidal anhydrous and paraffin liquid.
Storage
Do not store above 30°C.
