Chew a piece of gum when you feel the urge to smoke, and chew until the taste becomes strong.
Rest it between your gum and cheek.
If you smoke less than 20 cigarettes, or between 20 to 30 cigarettes per day, the 2mg gum is usually recommended.
If you smoke more than 20 cigarettes per day, you can also use the 2mg product if reducing your usual number of cigarettes prior to cutting out cigarettes completely.
If you smoke more than 30 cigarettes per day, you should use the 4mg gum.
Chew it again once the taste has faded, and then repeat this routine for about 30 minutes.
Most people use between 8 to 12 pieces of the 2mg (or the 4mg) gum per day.
