It works by replacing the decreased levels of hormones which occurs as you approach menopause. Drug Warning
Please read the full information about warnings for Oestrogel and Utrogestan as detailed in your Patient Information Leaflets.
You should go for regular breast screening and smear tests.
You should also check your breasts regularly and see your doctor if you notice changes such as dimpling of the skin, nipple changes or you can see or feel any lumps.
There is an increased risk of risk of developing blood clots with HRT tablets. You should stop taking Oestrogel and Utrogestan and see a doctor if you notice signs of a blood clot.
Oestrogel should not be applied to the breasts and face or any areas of irritated or broken skin.
If you still have an intact uterus, you should be using this combination of both products rather than Oestrogel alone. By using Utrogestan alongside Oestrogel, this reduces your risk of developing certain cancers.
