0.6mg to be injected ONCE daily for ONE week then 1.2mg ONCE daily for ONE week then 1.8mg ONCE daily for ONE week then 2.4mg ONCE daily for ONE week then 3mg ONCE daily.
Once you reach the recommended dose of 3.0 mg in week 5 of treatment, keep using this dose until your treatment period ends. Do not increase your dose further.
Not recommended for use in heart failure, liver impairment or severe kidney impairment
Do not use in the case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or to any of the additional ingredients.
Please advise your prescriber if you have thyroid problems or take any medications to control diabetes
Talk to your doctor if you have or have had a disease of the pancreas
The most frequently reported adverse reactions are gastrointestinal reactions including nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and constipation
Injection site reactions have been reported in patients treated with Saxenda. These reactions are usually mild and the majority disappear during continued treatment.
If you lose substantial weight, you are at a risk of gallstones and inflamed gall bladder. Contact a doctor immediately if you experience severe pain in your upper abdomen. The pain may be felt through to your back or right shoulder
Some patients may feel dizziness when taking Saxenda mainly during the first 3 months of treatment

Store in a refrigerator (2°C–8°C). Do not freeze. Store away from the freezer compartment.
After first use: Store below 30°C or store in a refrigerator (2°C–8°C). Keep the cap on the pen in order to protect from light.

When starting treatment with Saxenda®, you may lose body fluid or become dehydrated. This may be due to feeling sick (nausea), being sick (vomiting) and diarrhoea. It is important to avoid dehydration by drinking plenty of fluids.
You should only continue using Saxenda® if you have lost at least 5% of your initial body weight after 12 weeks on the 3 mg/day dose
